A typical coat of paint provides about 1 mil (.001 inches) dry film thickness. The Liquid Vinyl system consists of a bonding base coat and topcoat of liquid vinyl which leaves a dry film thickness of about 18 mils, over 15 times thicker than a typical coat of paint! Applying Liquid Vinyl will not change the architectural appearance of the building and is approved for use over wood, stucco, cement, brick, metal and virtually any other paintable surface.
Best of all, think of the money you will save. Although costing slightly more initially than a typical paint job, its dividends can pay off handsomely for years to come on exterior maintenance, future repainting costs and the value it adds to your home. No more dealing with painters every few years. It is an investment that makes sense more than ever.
Liquid Vinyl Siding is differentThe thickness of the Liquid Vinyl system is not the only reason it is a superior coating. An exterior coating must possess all four of these qualities for lasting protection and long-term durability;

Liquid Vinyl Siding is an eco-friendly
product. It is a water base product low in VOC
content (volatile organic compounds). It meets or exceeds all EPA
guidelines. The manufacture of vinyl uses as little as one-third
the energy of alternative materials and release less carbon dioxide (a
greenhouse gas) than many paints and competing coatings. Almost
all the scrap generated is recyclable. Recent studies have shown that
vinyl products are safe and environmentally acceptable throughout
their life, from extraction of materials to recycling/disposal. Most
recently, the European Commission concluded a comprehensive
review of 250 life-cycle assessments of PVC and competing materials.
The Commission found that vinyl products offer environmental benefits equal
to or better than those of other materials. Latex paint contains
ingredients that can harm fish and wildlife and contaminate our food chain.
Millions of gallons of leftover latex paint are poured down drains and
discarded in landfills every year. The government has been mandating
the removal of key components in standard paint that have been harming
the environment. Unfortunately, the components that have been removed
are the same components that gave paint its durability. Its removal has
drastically degraded its usefulness. Coating with Liquid Vinyl helps the
environment and saves you money, energy and ends the senseless painting cycle. |
